I’m a writer and full-time father living in Northern California. I was born in Boston in 1977 and received my master’s in creative writing from Goddard College in 2009. I went on to work in magazine and software publishing for about 15 years.
When my youngest son was identified as deaf in the hospital’s newborn hearing screen, my wife and I went to look for information in our local library.
What we found was both scary and obviously wrong, and the seeds ofThe Deaf Baby Instruction Manual were planted.
